Arrival: July 6th!
We arrive and take a quick shuttle to Belize City where we catch a bus to Benque Viejo Del Carmen, the Cayo District of Belize.

Alan & Alyssa's Summer journey
Begins on Belizean jungle terrain
Helping an eco-village stustain
To excavate ruins of the ancient Maya
To snorkle the reefs and relax on la playa
Then it's all the way up to the White Mountains' haze
For some game-laden trail-blazin bonfire days
Then retreat we will to the Western Mass woods
For a week of silence with a sangha of Buddh's
Then we pack up the truck and begin the long drive
First stop Princeton New Jersey that evening arrive
Chez Peter Kathleen Becket Nico and Scout
And maybe we toast with a cold Irish stout
Next day to the Capitol for a mid-day meal
To see Chris and Jamie and Grandma, sweet deal!
That night Kitty Hawk for a stay with Claire's Pop
Where to the ocean it's a skip and the bay it's a hop
Next stop on our trip Birmingham, Alabama
Chez Steve Alex Laura, Greg n' Suzanna
New Orleans from there, to meet up with Claire
And maybe I pull up my shirt if you dare
For a few days and nights, we'll see the sights
Maybe drop a few dimes on some clothes and good bites
Then westward we go, toward the big Austin sun,
To visit Cheetah/Jordan/Alyssa's son
He'll bike us around in his taxi for free
If he does a good job he might earn a small fee
El Paso is next, on the Rio Grande
Where a night in a small funky hostel is planned
Then to Joshua Tree National Park we go
For some camping and hiking and bouldering, yo
Then at last we arrive at Alyssa's new home
And drink to the end of her tireless roam
Then the following day after a long goodbye kiss
Alan drives on, but without his Lyss
